This is easily done if your charting software allows you to define an instrument's trading session. Multicharts can do this using custom sessions. Not sure about other charting packages.

One trader's noise is another trader's trend. A single 5 minute bar in the middle of barbwire may represent one or more trends on a 10 second chart. Just like trends, define what you mean by noise on the time frame you're trading.

Assuming both Instruments are on the same chart, you can: 1) Format Instrument/Settings under the Display SubChart property. Set SubChart1 to 'Hide'; 2) or, set the Format Instrument/Style, Chart Type property to Invisible bars.

I think it's a timing issue. Attached is my 200T IQFeed chart for reference. My chart show a large bar where you actually have a gap. I probably have the gap but it's hidden within the bar, which was still under construction. In your case, the first tick of the bar was the price gap.
