IB simulator has problem with HSI market orders. The fill can be way off (try place market order for 10 HSI you will see what I mean). This is probably what cause your stop order fill to be so much off. Louis

If you are writing your own code, chances are you are not filling in all the required parameters correctly. Try the sample app comes with IB API. It does a decent job getting historical data. You can look at the parameters there.

The latest version of IQFeed is solid. It streams 500 symbols in our in house testing with no problem. The biggest catch for IQFeed is the historical tick data has no second stamp. So the feed is less useful if you chart in sub-minute timeframe. Louis

Was that a beta cycle release? It typically takes 1-2 sub releases to address bugs. So if you report to us the problem one year ago, most likely the bug is already fixed. Give the latest demo a try. If you still see the problem, please let us know. Louis
