    E-mini option margin

Yes the margin required for an Emini is $3692 but the margin required to write a put is $9958. Am I missing something?

    E-mini option margin

Not an IRA. But I just noticed TOS has very limited order types for FOPs so I guess that is a reason to stay put. https://tlc.thinkorswim.com/center/reference/orders.html

    E-mini option margin

Interactive brokers requires about $10,000 margin to write an ES put. I dont have a funded account with Thinkorswim but the papertrader shows about $4,000 required margin when I enter the same order. Is that correct?

    Option math question

Ok, so using the CBOE option pricing tool, I calculated this option would be worth $0.50 (today) if the underlying is >= $19.13 So how do I figure the probability of the stock touching $19.13 in the next 8 days? Mind two of those days are not trading.

    Best hedge against market drop

I want to hedge against a drop in the S&P from today vs. about 9 months from now. For every 1% drop from today, I want $1000 protection. So in approx. 9 months if the S&P is down 50% from today I need $50,000 coverage, if its down 10% from today i want $10,000 coverage, etc. What would give...
