Are you sure your account was with Refco Hong Kong and not Refco USA instead? You may have opened up your account in Hong Kong but that doesn't mean it was with the Hong Kong division.
I opened up my RefcoFX account in Canada but not with Refco Canada, I had a USA account.
July 20, 2006 big day for RefcoFX account holders. Hopefully GAIN gets our accounts and this can come to an end.
I might approach Man Financial Canada and see if they would be interested in matching the offer. They have an office about 10 minutes from me.
Not much we can do. Just wait and see if the GAIN proposal goes through.
If the GAIN proposal does go through I might submit it to Man Financial Canada http://www.manfinancialfx.ca and see if they would be interested in giving me the same deal.
I don't think they care or even know about us.
Ok thanks for the reply. Yes I agree that GAIN's proposal does require too many trades. For small accounts (less than $1000) it might be OK for people who don't mind topping off the $150.00.

Since my first question is being ignored by the Refcofx account holders group I will try a second question regarding this quote from Mr. Duffy:
17,000? Shouldn't that number be about 200? Mr Duffy appears to inflate his numbers.
Why is this such a tough question to answer?
Since the Refcofx account holders group has posted this information to Elite Trader I would think that they would answer it. How does Mr. Duffy come up with 240 trades per month?
Anyone from the Refcofx account holders group care to take a stab at this?

How did Mr Duffy arrive at 240 trades per month? Or was that a typo? I come up with 45 trades per month.
I think I see a typo:
"If you have an account worth more than $25,000, you have to put more money on top of the $150 you get just to start trading, and then you have to make 240 trades per month for six months in order to qualify to get your own money back," Duffy said.
Isn't that 45...
