Sorry guys for being so vague, what I am really referring to, are hedge funds strategies. What form do most of their event based strategies consist of? Is this the kind of trading that a regular online investor can engage in? I think it makes more sense as an online investor to bet on one time...
Given a choice between liquidity and basis risk, futures markets tend to choose institutional arrangements that favor liquidity. My question is ---- who is most impacted by this...and why would maximizing liquidity be more important than minimizing basis risk? ...thanks
