Thanks for reply :) So when working with large orders there is no actual 'averaging down' strategy being used intentionally to get into the position ... it's more taking what the market gives you at the time your system has a signal... I know some traders like Praetorian2 swear by averaging...

After looking over some possible futures contracts to daytrade I have only come across a few with adequate liquidity/vol. Just curious about what determines how liquid a contract is. People tell me people trade the ones with liquidity ... but that's a catch 22 situation ... if no one trades...

What they should do then is waive fees if you do a certain amount of commissions.

What needs to be done is a decoupling of the execution and the corresponding quotes. There is no reason they should be 'linked ' anymore especially with all these fees. Most people probably subscribe to other quote feeds with realtime charting so IB quote feed is not necessary for trading...

You make it sound like you never have losing days...... is this true? You mean you trade w/o any technical indicators? No moving avg, no RSi, no stochastics ... just price charts alone?

Nice thread. really enjoy following it. What may be even more useful is if you post the stops for each trade so that any people following along has an idea of when to bail out. Just a thought.:)

the CME equotes at 60 per month supposed uses futuresource for charting as well .. but i figure that they are more 'direct' possibly.... too bad they don't offer a trial so that i can compare

are futuresource quotes better/faster than CME equotes?
