My experience with charting from the WPF Toolkit is that it's easy to use, but suffers from very poor performance, especially for large datasets. I explored it some time ago for financial charting and decided not to use it because of its poor performance.

To conclude that it isn't event-driven knowing only that it was built from scratch in .NET is incorrect. If there's other information you're basing that conclusion on, let's hear it.

Fair enough, but be prepared for some bumps in the road (and perhaps expensive ones) along the way. They are called growing *pains* for a reason.

Good luck finding a truly experienced developer to work for free. You get what you pay for.
