c# Automated Trading Software created by myself

The performance issues I speak of are not regarding WPF, but the charting control itself. I used it in both its WinForms life as well as WPF and its performance is poor compared to other controls out there. http://leecampbell.blogspot.com/2010/01/my-wpf-charting-comparisons.html

c# Automated Trading Software created by myself

My experience with charting from the WPF Toolkit is that it's easy to use, but suffers from very poor performance, especially for large datasets. I explored it some time ago for financial charting and decided not to use it because of its poor performance.

Has anybody ever had a consistently profitable algorithm automated?

Are you inviting us to a guessing game? :D Level 2 data?

Has anybody ever had a consistently profitable algorithm automated?

Right, and my point, which you are repeatedly missing, is that based on that one post, you have no idea whether he uses a news feed or not. You have no information on his system whatsoever other than it was translated from his manual trading and that it was built up from .NET. You assume that...

Has anybody ever had a consistently profitable algorithm automated?

To conclude that it isn't event-driven knowing only that it was built from scratch in .NET is incorrect. If there's other information you're basing that conclusion on, let's hear it.

Has anybody ever had a consistently profitable algorithm automated?

    1) You make your point in the first paragraph and then repeat it in paragraphs 2 and 3 for no apparent reason (or added effect). 2) He said the system was built from the ground up in .NET, not using Easylanguage 3) I fail to see where he mentions at all what the systems trades are based...

C# Developer Wanting To Learn Trading Strategy Development.

Why would someone who is well-versed in "making money" need volunteer help?

C# Developer Wanting To Learn Trading Strategy Development.

Maybe you don't get the negative responses because you don't have the vantage point of an experienced software developer. If an experienced developer really wants to learn about a new industry, he will find work in that industry. Most software development skills are universal, regardless of...

C# Developer Wanting To Learn Trading Strategy Development.

Fair enough, but be prepared for some bumps in the road (and perhaps expensive ones) along the way. They are called growing *pains* for a reason.

Good luck finding a truly experienced developer to work for free. You get what you pay for.

    Rol's Trading Journal

Hi Rol, Long time since I commented. Sorry to see your recent events, but glad to see you're sticking to it. The recent turn of events got me thinking. Your strategy is already somewhat insulated against black swan events for a particular stock, due to diversification. You've shown that...
