How would future economies work when 90% of jobs are replaced by robots/computers?

I agree but I don't think it needs to be "socialism" as in government controlled or owned. A privatized property interest similar to a trust fund could be established for citizens that like a trust fund vests at 21 yrs old. Right now it appears the game plan is to expand the earned income tax...

    Hard Stop loss

"...A traders' income is not the bid-offer spread, but the micro-squeezes that take place. Markets move from squeezes to squeezes. Traders make money on stop losses and other free options." http://merage.uci.edu/~jorion/oc/ntaleb.htm Was largely true then, is true today with different tools.

    So true.

    Hard Stop loss

How about this. instead of entering where you normally would, buy at what would have been your stop loss point. Keep in mind a great deal of the trading info like "hard stop loss in your order system" is designed to benefit those who profit as your churn your account, not the trader - they...

Not 100% related to trump, but I am bearish on the consumer staple "junk food" companies. The evidence that excess sugar/cheap carb consumption as found in processed food is a primary trigger for obesity, type two diabetes, heart attacks, among other serious and expensive ailments, has become...

Achilles, Lots of good ideas. My thought is that most of the market's initial moves are correct but there are likely to be discouragement points along the way, creating dips and buying points. The basic play is the obvious one - Buy the domestic "real stuff" economy. -I agree on refineries...

    EF Hutton Returns

Weird observation I have made since Nov 7 - many news events that are public and huge have been eminently tradable with serious follow through - For example, mention of Icahn's influence on EPA under Trump admin on CNBC sends his refinery stocks up 30% in two days - reminds me of price behavior...

'Biggest Ad Fraud Ever': Hackers Make $5M A Day

Definitely something to keep in mind for those who buy "pay for click" advertising.

Are people with ADHD better or worse traders?

My non-medical opinion. I think for many it is diet, exersize, and boredom related. Modern life has so many running in pointless hamster wheels and then we wonder why we can't focus on the many pointless, artificial tasks. Stop eating sugar and processed food carbs. Get to 10% or less...

Not really just related to your post (and not that anyone cares) If i had one general tip for struggling traders that was easy to implement and guaranteed to improve odds, it is simple - stop shorting stocks.

    Virtu Founder named army secretary

Trading firms without a structural edge have a bad record in the public markets. They loaded the firm with debt (negative tangible equity) have paid multiple special divs to founders, siphon cash via an up-c related tax receivable agreement - its a mess and IMO bound to implode on public...

Moore Capital cuts 2/20 & Wingspan Capital shatters

The problem with high mgt fees from the manager's point of view is that there seems to be a phenomenon where costs rise in order to justify the high fee load. So the manager somehow "forgets" that so much of his track record was on a much smaller overhead - a great deal of which is fluff.
