I use an MacBook Pro with bootcamp and XP. I have IB and RealTic charts + an extra 30" monitor if I'm home. Works great...no hangups.

Beg to differ....Pattern Day Trading is defined as placing 4 or more day trades within 5 business day period.

I don't understand why one would want to subject themselves to the vagaries of global markets. I prefer to close all positions daily. kb
