I had a similar problem with IB last week although they have never admitted any fault on the part of TWS.

I have an account with Interactive Brokers. I'm wondering if there is any advantage to closing non-base currency positions once a trade is closed. Those "positions" appear in the "Account" section of TWS under the subheading "Market". Just wondering if converting, say, GBP to USD is anything...
