    ES Journal - 2017/2018

It's been quite a while since I've posted anything. The 50 day SPX SMA has passed below the 200 day SMA about a week ago. This doesn't happen often. When it does, it's hard for me to think in bullish terms.

I just remember last July, a couple traders who posted nailed the point of reversal (H&S right shoulder test and fail).

For the major brokers, they handle those size of accounts all the time and much bigger. The account size you mention is nothing for most of them. It depnds what, and how you trade really. Check out the on line reveiws on line and do other research. Many people trade in so many different...

Interactive brokers liquidate with 1 Minute notice while wire is on the way.

IB has liberal leverage, low margin, low commissions and low fees. And it has come up again and again on ET, they will liquidate a portfolio in a heart beat, if an account hits one of their risk triggers. They offer you the leverage, and don't over charge with margin; but they will quickly...

Bias to the short side obviously futher down move expected. But, a quick retracement fast up certainly possible tomorrow or tonight. Point being this after rth session, I don't feel right about entering a trade tonight either way. Last night was a better set up to go short than tonight - I...

    RIP Thinkorswim

It depends where TDA wants to take this. If they want to compete with (1) Schwab or ETrade, or they want to compete with (2) IB and a few others. If (1), then they don't need to worry that much about data speed and futures margin. If (2), then it was crazy to raise margin on futures...

He called himself a simple country lawyer - that's what he told everyone. he not only graduated from Harvard - he graduated with honors. He didn't get to be Chairman of the Senate Judiciary Committee by being just colorful. he was brilliant. Some of the younger people reading this, don't have...

This discourse has raised in my mind a nagging question I have had for quite some time. What kind of drink is a mojito? So I made the effort and looked it up on Wiki: Cuba is the birthplace of the Mojito, although the exact origin of this classic cocktail is the subject of debate.[8]...

I fell for it. I think you can get live accounts for just a couple of grand in a couple cases; but easy to blow through that. But, most of us do in the begining of our game and blow through amounts way greater than 2 grand when starting out. :)

There's more than a handful that will give you live quotes without an additional fee as long as you have a trading account. In fact, you can pay for a lot of different stuff, depending on the broker, but if you have a trading account I am not aware of any that charge for being live. Now if you...
