    Notification when receiving dividends

Guys, is there a way to receive an SMS or an email (to my registered email with IB) whenever my IB account is credited with a dividend ? I contacted IB via chat and the lady said no, but she didn't seem very sure of what she was telling me, so asking here. She said I should be receiving a...

Was there a change in US tax law ?

Thanks for the reply. Yes I have a W8BEN form in place. But are you saying that in your case, as a non-US person, you pay zero tax even on dividends when they are categorized as income ?

    NYSE rule on orders

I have a question. I have noticed that my broker will not let me place a buy order - resp a sell order - more than 30% - resp 50% - away from the last traded price. Is this a NYSE listing rule, or just the broker policy ? Thank you. JRKOB.

Does SEC's insider trading rules apply to Greece's CDS?

Hi, I currently trade CDS for a bank out of Asia and this market is "in general" not regulated. Certain jurisdictions may impose restrictions though, for certain categories of clients (I'm thinking of Taiwanese insurance companies for example, who cannot do CDS).

    US witholding tax

Hi, I am living in Singapore and am not a US citizen. I would like to buy US stocks but I understand that there is a 30% witholding tax on dividend. Is there an "easy" way to get around this ? For the US bonds I hold, a few years back my broker had asked me to fill a form (was it...
