I use TD Ameritrade. By bar chart do you mean OHLC? and what symbol exactly do I need to type? $TICK-NYSE?

How do I make $TICK work with QT? The chart does not seem to move all the time. It's like for minutes it remains flat, and all of a sudden moves to another number. Is it because I set the chart type wrong (I use line chart atm). Helps appreciated! Zhao
