    Cheapest Data Feed?

Wow, you were right. I compared the two, one above the other, and the tick chart has a lot of missing data. I guess it's not missing but it is all compressed into one bar. I'm guessing the 5 minute is helpful to tell more of the story and track what is going on a little more clearly. Thanks for...

    Cheapest Data Feed?

Well, maybe I can learn something new here. I have only come back to trading for a month or so after a few years off but I am a new trader. I started following a guy who trades price action exclusively with a 2000 tick of the ES. My limited understanding is that tick data displays information...

    Cheapest Data Feed?

I primarily use tick charts as opposed to minute. Prefer the 2000 tick.

    Cheapest Data Feed?

I ended up signing with Kinetick but I don't understand much about the hard limit of 500 symbols and what that means. I think with the CME waiver, I am paying about $65 or so. I bought the NYSE, Nasdaq level 1. I won't be using it much for now.

Day One of Al Brooks Trading room

Thanks wrbtrader for your post. First let me say that I didn't know that he had another trade room that was free. I figured the two day trial is free and if I learn from it, the $99 a month would be worth the education. As far as trading, I am just getting my feet wet. Both learning what a 2...

Day One of Al Brooks Trading room

I hear Al Brooks name a lot as it relates to price action. He's been around a long time. I have not read any of his books yet. I have read some of articles he's written and usually when I ask a question that relates to price action, someone mentioned Al Brooks. I did a search though on ET and...

A little confused about understanding candlestick charts

I guess if not understanding the origin of candlesticks makes me in your words, a dumbfuck, so be it. I learn about candlesticks because when I view a chart in Ninja Trader that is what I am seeing. I use them because that is what comes with the program. Am I missing something here? I guess...

A little confused about understanding candlestick charts

The main point of my post was to find out how much information on candlesticks is necessary to trade price action. Clearly there is a ton of info out there. When I started reading posts about Al Brooks and his work and Steve Nison and all of his books on candlesticks, I began wondering, "What is...

A little confused about understanding candlestick charts

I think he is referring to the fact that I registered some years ago and because of that, I would not need to ask a question that perhaps a new trader might ask. In fact I'm still a new trader who has just made a lot of mistakes a long the way. Only now am I getting a grip.

A little confused about understanding candlestick charts

Thank you wrbtrader for that info. The point you make above is something I am struggling with at the moment. I thought price action trading was supposed to be the least complicated brings in the least amount of distractions. I was getting the impression though that some may not be trading just...

A little confused about understanding candlestick charts

Trying to learn what I can about candlestick charts as they apply to reading price action. Was reading a commentary and he was throwing out acronyms like A1 and W1P and many others. Figured before I can start reading price action I probably need to start from the beginning. I did some searches...

Do you trade forex outside of regular stock market hours?

I was just wondering. I know that when looking at the futures ES, they say that it is more difficult to trade in the afternoon and very hard after hours. I guess tougher professionals after hours. I'm not sure why. I just wondered it the same went for forex?
