Be it an offshore broker or a local broker, all I care about are my trading requirements. Whichever broker fits them well, I use it. After all, it is about trading well to earn well. I've heard good things about PAXForex but I haven't quite tried it yet.
I don’t use a particular platform for trading and I kind of like to go for multiple ones. Right now I have Tradestation and Fxview as my brokers offering low spreads. Since the conditions suit me, I find them okay. However IDK what would qualify as ‘reliable’ for you.
Let’s not negate that there are ECN brokers like FXview who do offer 0 spreads. Selecting the right broker is more vital than debating whether 0 spreads is safe or not. Onada is another good example.
Let’s compare. If you trade 1 lot EURUSD with 1.0 spread, you’ll pay $10 fee. If you trade with the same account with 0 spread, you’ll end up paying $3.5 fee. See for yourself. Trading with zero spread is in every way cheaper.
Don’t know much about the other brokers but fxview and etoro offer ECN spreads starting from 0.0 pips. I used this in the beginning of my trading days as a scalper to avoid slippage and calculating non-trading losses.
Well, I simply find out whether the spreads are fixed or variables before selecting a broker. Like I went ahead with XM. IG and fxview because they provide pure ECN spreads starting from 0.0 pips. Anyone know any other brokers with the same spread and pips?
Check out the technical indicators that work well with stochastic oscillators. Moving average crossovers and momentum oscillators are the ones I’m talking about.
