Good to know because in order for me to upgrade to 80 (which is only $10 extra bucks a month) they are apparently requiring me to buy a new modem ($150 one time charge) + pay for an install (another $150 one time charge).
The only thing I was really trying to improve - and it's only a very...
I actually don't have much of an issue with it really. I trimmed down my layout from 7 monitors (in my office) to just three (laptop + two externals). Most of what I do is pretty simplistic, so I don't need the best of the best, however I will certainly be upgrading to the 80mbps here shortly...
Just checked into this and my current plan is apparently at 40mbps, but my speed tests were apparently slightly above that, not sure how that works. Looks like I can upgrade to 80mbps for only $10 more a month, that's a no-brainer. Unfortunately, modem-wise, it looks like they only have one...
Yes, but not always. Mainly trade SPY QQQ (or similar market ETF - like the ultra-weighted 3x ones) & the main mega-cap stocks (AAPL MSFT TSLA NVDA AMD NFLX GOOGL AMZN META SQ).
Added tomshardware to my bookmarks, thanks for the resource suggestion.
My modem/router is definitely a bit old, it's ISP-based and I've had it for many years (vs. the wifi on my laptop which is brand new - ASUS A17), can I replace that with any random modem/router or do certain ISPs only allow...
Most of my posts are related to me asking for help with hardware-related issues, trying to inquire about improving my overall setup, not sure what you are implying by that statement. If I don't know something, I ask.
But, related to your statement regarding doing speed and latency tests, I have...
I'll check those out, thanks.
I guess I should clarify, I'm looking for a wifi router, I trade off my laptop these days, the router is in my office which isn't too far away so I don't necessarily need wide range, mainly looking for something with good speed.
I'm not necessarily having any issues with my current wifi router per se, but it was the stock modem/router combo that was given to me by CenturyLink a couple of years ago so I'm assuming that there's something better out there that I could be using to up the speed, I'm just not familiar with...
Any reason why the HDMI input would not be responding? The monitor is not even attempting to power cycle whereas before when I was trying to use both USB C ports it was.
I haven't messed with the BIOS yet, looking that up now.
UPDATE: I did some google searching and went into BIOS under...
I'm aware of those options, however what I'm saying is that the second external monitor is not even being identified as an option, I have already had one connected with the display extended fine but when I connect the other one the system doesn't appear to be identifying it at all for me to even...
No issues with recognizing and displaying one of the external monitors but I can't seem to get the other one to come onboard, anyone have any ideas?
It just says no signal and then powers off/goes to sleep mode while the other one works fine.
Running Win11..
