I think that the reason Spot Forex is used is mainly because you can open an account with 1000$ or even less, but it's not the same with futures.

The problem with Alpari UK is that even if they are FSA regulated they ask you to sign an agreement saying that your are an "intermediate Trader" (I think it is the exact term or maybe it is adanced trader, but anyway). And then because of that you loose the most interesting part of FSA...
