Does the new SEC regulations for daytraders to maintain a minimum $25000 affect cash accounts? That is can one still continue daytrading with a cash account of less than $25000?

Thank you Turok. Two months ago I had seen at their web site that they charge $0.01 per share for any ECN, but their current web site does not indicate a fee for ECNs.

Has IB stopped charging ECN fees? Can one route to an ECN of choice?

Thanks Babak for your info. But could there be a cheaper way of getting the news alert may be avoiding other futures like charting, Level II etc. I was looking for something that may cost $50 or less a month.

Does anyone know of a news alert system that can trigger a pop up window immediately when a stock has news. This should also include penny stocks.

Is there anyone using Freetradez? How realible is there system? Do they accept limit orders? Do they trade in all ECNs?
