why did market tank into close?

Definitely technical on my charts - 1420 R level.....matched with a similarly strong R level on NQ.

    Trading Blind - Thanks Esignal

Anson Yes that is a good plan. I usually wait longer myself - but got suckered in last week when I was bored and upgraded my laptop to try it first!

    Trading Blind - Thanks Esignal

Friday's intraday data is finally back.......... BTW - anybody who uses Fibs in their trading don't upgrade to R10 yet - because fib retraces and extensions disappear when moving between timeframes. So I've installed R8 back over R10 and its fine.

    Trading Blind - Thanks Esignal

"Due to a severe set of technical issues, we have turned off the storage of bid/ask data on our domestic tick servers. " What a bitch  Not use to trading off Daily charts with open positions! Jessop

    Esignal - NQ Daily data

DM I split my time between ES & NQ these days. I've moved up to hourly charts for main entries/stops/exits and use Daily & Weekly a lot more than I ever did. My golf handicap is improving with the move to position trades! Happy Trading Jessop

    Esignal - NQ Daily data

Another day when Esignal is not loading/displaying NQ #F daily views. The other big futures are ok - it seems to always be NQ is the problem. No Daily/Weekly views & no daily + MAs. Is this just me or are other people getting this. Jessop

    Practicality of Fibonacci Retracements

2 years ago I was a Fib sceptic…..but I kept seeing tests of key R&S levels that I couldn’t fathom with my analysis tools. So over time I have seen their potential, back-tested the high reward zones/levels and have now added them to my trading plan as key reference points to be traded...

ANOTHER POLL: What is your favorite index futures market?

I've been sorely tempted by the ER2 in the past - but now I value much more the truly great symmetry the ES has :D

I want to learn the basics

Try John Murphy's Technical Analysis of the Financial Markets for a basic start point, followed by Mark Douglas Trading in the Zone & then the Brett Steenbarger books.

    Practicality of Fibonacci Retracements

382 means something to me - but this was backed up by two separate 'confluence' reasons to go Long in the ES
