Best Pay As You Go Cell Phone?

I too have T-Mobile prepaid, and it's the best that I've found. As hughb mentioned, you only have to renew once a year, so as long as you have minutes left, you can just by a $10 card and be set for another year. When my wife and I switched, we bought the $100 card (which gets you 15%...

    Forex and Risk Management

I use Oanda too, and the number of units I buy or sell is dependent upon how much I am willing to risk. I don't know why Oanda only calculates the risk on market orders, but I wish they would do it on limit orders too. So here's what I do: 1) Determine my entry and initial stoploss. 2)...

    Impulse Trading

Interesting perspective. Though I am in no way an expert on psychology, from personal experience I believe that the urge to impulse trade has similarities to urges to engage in other self-destructive activities. The tricky part, as you point out, is to catch yourself before engaging in these...

if euro goes up... some trendlines and resistance

Yeah, it went pretty much straight up after Sunday night's open, and my SL at 1.2856 was hit, stopping me out for a small loss. I'll be watching to see how it behaves as it approaches the next areas of resistance. Prevailing trend on the daily chart is still down, so I'm maintaining a short...

if euro goes up... some trendlines and resistance

I agree - EUR/USD will have some barriers to break through if it's going to move up. I'm short from about 1.2723, counting on the nearest down trendline in your chart holding as resistance, so I hope we see a few down days to begin the week next week. JEB

    Eur/usd looks to go up

I'm with Viper - as long as the daily trend is down, I've got a short bias. I'm short from 1.2718, but have moved my stops to breakeven. I could see it revisiting the 1.2425-ish area, but I could be wrong. We'll see what next week brings. JEB

    Forex for small accounts

I would echo others' advice to go with Oanda. I've got a small account with them couldn't be happier. You can trade any size with them, and they've got the lowest spreads in the biz.

4 simple rules of successful trading

Great post - this is helpful to those of us who don't have the benefit of years of experience. Thanks for taking the time to share.

    Help setting stops

Very true. I like to set my stops just below the nearest support or just above the nearest resistance. Then, after I've determined my stop, I determine my position size based on the amount that I'd be risking, or the distance from my entry to my stop. Never do I set my stops based on how much...

    Does anyone here swing trade?

I swing trade because I have to spend my days working for the man (plus I think it suits my personality better).

    GBP/USD trading

I agree with you - 1.9540 is a key level of support that's been in place since early this year. Check out the daily chart > http://www.tradinggroove.com/post/2008/05/Pin-Bar-on-GBPUSD-Near-Support.aspx. I'll be going long if we break today's high.

    EUR/USD Play?

The pair is flirting with an area of support around 1.5348 on the daily chart. If it breaks through this support, I don't see it stopping until the next major area of support around 1.5000, about 350 pips south of where it's at now. If it breaks down, should be a good selling opportunity...
