No, you'll see. They never even trade - now they're trading like crazy because a buyer is holding up the bid. There will be a big move (results due on their trial) just not sure which way - leaning towards the down side .

El Ocho - so normally the MMs keep the spread a completely absurd spread (like .80c to $3). Right now the spread being held up by a buyer.

Would love to know what some of you think. So today a very similar situation occurred - AXON got pummeled because it failed an Alzheimer's study. Does anyone see any correlation in the options movement before the AXON tanked? Looks like those options were even higher than VSAR.

Yea, I couldn't figure it out. Had that feeling it was going to tank and was right but didn't pull the trigger cause I rarely short or buy puts.

Sig, Thanks for that. I understand that strategy but haven't done anything like that before. Believe it or not I make a living off of long term trading and only use options as a hedge or to back into positions. When I see something out of the ordinary even with an upcoming catalyst an alarm...

Sig, the only thing that was "nonsensical" was your initial reply as it was just a jest at me (hence the reason for my follow-up). If your intentions were to teach me something you did a poor job at that and obviously you don't encourage posts.

Hello, I know there's a catalyst for this at the end of the month but VSAR OCT 20 calls at over $6 with huge oi. Truth is the puts are really expensive too but oi on them nowhere near. Last time I saw something this high the stock tanked big on bad news so I'm a little bit suspect this time...

@xandman @Robert Morse Looks like it was a short play of some sort - FOMX gonna be down big today with bad news.

I've been considering switching to IB because the margin rates are so low compared to Td but something like this scares me. Td has never been sketchy with their margin and usually straight forward.
