I use IB charts and think they're pretty good. The other charts I use are stockcharts.com, which I think is a good frame of reference.

1) Most important: Let us overlay volume data on the bottom of the chart as can be done with charts at stockcharts.com, this saves...
Exactly the point which I wanted to add to my original post but was too late to do so. I would think that in any case Don would be concerned because of the sharply decreased volume and wider spreads that would result.

Just wanted to alert everyone as surprisingly I haven't seen any mention of it on ET yet. WSJ article from Saturday October 10 on how the 0.1-0.5% transaction tax seems to be picking up steam with Democrats, European countries, the World Bank, the IMF, etc...
I never click on Eric Oberg's or Cramer's articles on the topic as a form of boycott. For Jim it doesn't matter, but for other writers it can make a difference if people aren't clicking their stories.

My understanding has always been that earnings for a trading activity for one's own account (i.e. independent trader) are not subject to self-employment tax, and this regardless of whether the trader claims the trader tax status or not.
