Was a bit dramatic with that last post lol. Took a massive drawdown at one point that day where everything was losing, but managed to get it back to only a 'fairly' red day! (still my biggest red day yet, mind) Anyway, new account highs now. Nearly made the 300 trades, too Maybe another 300...

glad I didn't jump in to live trading! Gertting killed the last few sessions. It's like they're watching me lol. Every single trade is getting stopped out. Gonna see how i'm looking at 300 trades but given lots of profits back now

thanks for replying Yes, I can confirm that I never just sit in a loser hoping it'll 'come good'. I'm strict with my stops. They are typically like 4 NQ points or so, but it varies depending on the trade setup. Always small, though. You sound more confident that me though in my method! haha...

149 trades New account highs again

feel free. to post in my thread :) Been trying to find an 'edge' for a very long time. Currently going through a good patch https://www.elitetrader.com/et/threads/ta-forward-testing-sample-size.332501/#post-4863990

over 100 trades now. (that's the number someone on trade2win told me to take to see whether I was still profitable). New account hights. Plan to maybe do 500 trades and then if i'm still in profit, maybe fund a micro account

at the moment i'm just trading live in SIM. I know it's probably nothing, but it's just that this is the first time I've even had a HINT of positive, somewhat consistent results. Maybe i'll just try to do like 10,000 trades, and if i'm still looking good, i'll go live money!

What kind of statistical significance would one need to think that he MIGHT have some sort of an edge'? I'm someone whose been trying to trade for about 4 years and has been consistently losing. Almost everyday. Can't buy a winning day. Sometimes i'll find what I think might be an 'edge'...
