I was hoping to remain an "employee" of the firm until I passed and then be dismissed from the firm (no liability). I'll have two years to find a firm to work for before my certification expires.
I'm getting tired of being passed up for jobs because I don't have a series 7. If I could just get that certification, it would really set me up to go after some really good positions.

I'm a college senior and was hoping to set myself apart from my peers by passing the series 7 exam. I was speaking to a person at a testing center who said that I can take the exam without sponsorship from a firm (as long as I pay all the fees) and if I pass, I will be able to place the exam...
