    R.I.P. - Don Bright

R.I.P. Don. My most sincere condolences to his family. I was at Bright for a short bit in 2003 and Don was a great help and always encouraging to us "beginners". It was great to read his posts here and his column in S&C, knowing I knew him and learned from him first hand. A sad day indeed.

Using Straddle/Strangle for Active Trading Hedge

Thanks. I figured the hedge was a total loss, like a hurdle rate to overcome for the life of the hedge. Namely, establish a 2 standard deviation straddle with the peace of mind, no matter what happens your loss, whether long or short is limited by the strikes and what you paid for the hedge...

    IRA puts

CyberTrader allows covered writes, buy calls, and buy puts in an IRA account. They also have LVLII options quotes. Real nice, you can put in orders direct with the ISE. I use it all the time.

Kinda of in the same situation myself. Looking for an office to work out of, basically. Been managing money sucessfully for some time, looking for a firm to work at or a office with other managers to bounce ideas off. Getting pretty boring working from home. Anyone know of a mutual fund or...

    Networking with differnt operating systems

You should have no problems getting NT, Win2k WinXP, 98 or Me or 95 talking to each other. Just make sure in the network setup, you have the all set to DHCP, so the router will take care of all the network control. I have NT, XP, 98, ME and 2K all running with one router, no problems at all.
