Average real trader use only small portion of enormous amount of features in TWS. Most normal people never would know what is in this bloated program.
Maybe the current outage is not related to the TWS buggy program. However, it is obvious that so much garbage built into a program do not...
IB does not have this scaling out order type. You need to enter 4 separate orders linked with OCA groups.
Let say you are long 2 contacts based on your breakout system. You enter order A to sell one contract at target 1 price and stop order B at your stop price. You assign OCA number, let...

Is IB going backwards? Itâs impossible, even if that what they would like to do.
IB just introduced new feature. It will cancel GTC order automatically after ninety days without sending any notice. Some traders use GTC stop order to reduce market risk. Now IB management will cancel this order automatically placing their customers at risk.

In old version you could easy sort either by change, name or whatever you want by clicking on any field. I use summary windows for stocks and futures lists. New version does not load...

Here are my two cents.
Trading platform has to fit your needs and your level of experience.
No professional trader would use E-Trade. IB is definitely the best choice for experienced trader.
