Can IB stop stupid and useless features?

Average real trader use only small portion of enormous amount of features in TWS. Most normal people never would know what is in this bloated program. Maybe the current outage is not related to the TWS buggy program. However, it is obvious that so much garbage built into a program do not...

IB: getting out with 2 targets

IB does not have this scaling out order type. You need to enter 4 separate orders linked with OCA groups. Let say you are long 2 contacts based on your breakout system. You enter order A to sell one contract at target 1 price and stop order B at your stop price. You assign OCA number, let...

IB Trader: Warning – IB will cancel your GTC order

Yes, why do not you pick-up the phone and place your order and write down on piece of paper your order. Then IB will charge $200 commission as it used to be? Is that what you are doing? Is IB going backwards? It’s impossible, even if that what they would like to do.

    The Dennis Gartman Letter

Dennis Gartman is the best trader. He is no B.S. straightforward guy with more than thirty years experience. The good news is that there is a new fund that follows his letter. See http://www.hapetfs.com/gartman_cf.asp It is trading in Toronto exchange and will be converted to ETF later. :)

    Vista or XP ?

Vista is stable and has no problems on new computers. It was not compatible with old hardware. It does NOT make any sense to go back in technology. Sooner than later new software and hardware would not be compatible with XP. Furthermore, Vista is also more secure than XP.

I have just tried the new 10.3 version of eSignal. It is amazing how these guys can go from bad to worst. In old version you could easy sort either by change, name or whatever you want by clicking on any field. I use summary windows for stocks and futures lists. New version does not load...

    IB or E-Trade

Here are my two cents. Trading platform has to fit your needs and your level of experience. No professional trader would use E-Trade. IB is definitely the best choice for experienced trader. However, they will not hold your hand and will not spend much time on the phone with you...
