Reasons not to use conditional orders based upon underlying?

I will look into this. Ideally if I could have 15k on a broker and utilize appropriate risk(1%/trade). I.e. if I had a 50k net worth, 20k on the exchange, open a 100k usd long position on ES with a stop .5% from my entry. Without getting destroyed by margin lending fees. That I would be...

Reasons not to use conditional orders based upon underlying?

I understand. I think I would be better suited to trading (short term) on futures. However, it seems you need very large capital to do that. I only have low 5 figures available for trading. And it seems difficult to get significant leverage without a 6 figure account. I.e. trading with a 100k...

Reasons not to use conditional orders based upon underlying?

My funds clear for my ToS account tomorrow. Unfortunately, I find the platform a bit confusing but the advanced order...

Reasons not to use conditional orders based upon underlying?

I see. So you are saying that I could have it immediately place a limit order to close(or open) an option if the price hits my underlying target. The limit order will then be placed immediately with the spread that I input off the mark price? So it would prevent any sort of massive slippage...

Reasons not to use conditional orders based upon underlying?

The system I have for trading involves using hard stops when a divergence is formed. This is best done utilizing the underlying price of the asset- which gets very confusing given the liquidity issues in options. However, to my knowledge, the higher liquidity markets such as SPY, QQQ, would have...

Transitioning over to options trading- a few questions

Hi everyone. I traded crypto markets since 2016 and the last year or two have been abysmal to say the least. Liquidity is gone, the scam market has collapsed and I am looking to move on to real, traditional markets. I've been experimenting for the last few months with options using RH and...
