I am not sure if it is the law that they give us notice or not but in the past IB has given notice and you receive a red line though the symbol line on tws. It did not happen this time and the bid /ask offers changes although only by pennies. thanks for the reply

anyone trading rfx on IB news states stock has been halted. I have not received an IB notice stating the stock has been halted. Anyone receive an notice of the halt? I can see the bid/ask quotes change on tws.

see good opportunities to short tomorrow as longs take a little profit and considering market is not willing to retreat with oil at 66 area. volume has been very light during the day (up to 1130am) with the market markers having their fun in the after noon.

agreed the trend has been very bullish, but have you noticed that the bull moves have very little volume in a lot of the stocks that general would be well in access of one million only barely reaching 500k by 11am. acknowledge it is august but daily there are great opportunities in most sectors...

Sir, I didn't hear any one say they didn't trade or make money with option trading. They/we are just giving you some of the con's. The pro's take time to develop. I trade successfully options every month. The problem is that stock news or intervention, mergers etc all effect the options...

good honest advise. I have bought many options versus writting them for protection. Most times the money is wasted upon expiry. I prefer a mix of both writting and buying to help ensure a profit. Volitility, strike price etc all effect your chance of making a profit on the trade. They...
