TOS added futures as a hedging tool. Their platform is good for that purpose. I've used the futures to hedge against losing SPX positions. But TOS only trades during daytime hours and their futures commissions are slightly high. If you go to daytrade, check out some other brokers...

What's Gainskeeper? I use a spreadsheet for trades by traders accounting. Nice spreadsheet but have to manually enter each leg of each trade. Can't import into it. Can you do that with Gainskeeper. Is there a website.

I think Rally's right. There's no liquidity in the VIX. If MMs don't want to buy, there will be no value. I've been the bid quote for 3 days now, without a transaction. Only 2 contracts, but you would think they would fill just to get me off the board.
