    Charting --- who uses what?

Not into the "awards" thing but the following combination in my opinion gives the best charting value: Stock Watch Pro/eSignal. www.crontech.com/swp www.esignal.com Happy charting.

    Comparing eSignal and QCharts

Same here ... I ended up using Stockwatch pro on eSignal because it gives you both. It has a QCharts feel and is easy to use + reliable feed from eSignal. See my comments: http://www.elitetrader.com/so/?action=view&SR_ProductID=18

    Quote.com for advanced users

SWP/Quote.com combo works pretty well for me. I scan for intraday patterns and setup alerts which send orders to IB once triggered. Trendline alerts are awesome! I heard eSignal integration is in works.

    Quote.com for advanced users

See http://finance.lycos.com/home/subs/qc3party.asp for 3rd party software compatible with Quote.com. I use SWP software from http://www.crontech.com which is a Qcharts add-on. It pretty much satisfies my needs: scanner, backtester, alerts, etc.

They are probably talking about unintentional use of data in the future to generate buy and sell signals for backtesting. Nothing new.

If you don't know what ETFs are, pick up the latest issue of Active Trader. It has a good article on ETFs.
