    IB Raises Commission Cap?

dpt you're right. nasdaq used to offer this rebate until around december time, if I remember rightly but not anymore however IB still gives a rebate on sub $1 stocks - their version of "exchange fees" is not entirely accurate remember. anyway I dont think this thread is going to...

    IB Raises Commission Cap?

Dear IBJ Yes I agree with you on a "0.2% inclusive of all costs agreement" However your argument doesnt hold water mathematically when it is "0.2% + exchange etc fees" vs "0.5% + exchange etc fees". Either situation is a negative sum game for such a notional arbitrateur. In other words you...

    IB Raises Commission Cap?

http://www.interactivebrokers.com/en/accounts/fees/commission.php?ib_entity=llc Maximum Per Order under Bundled-North America 3 months ago used to be: "0.2% of trade value". Now it is "0.5% of trade value plus exchange, ECN, regulatory and specialist fees"

    IB Raises Commission Cap?

This isnt solely about sub $1 stocks. It affects stocks under $2 as well, although to a lesser degree. Further on the subject of digging deep for charges that exchanges impose on brokers. How about if you look here...

    IB Raises Commission Cap?

My concern is that there have been a number of "tweaks" in the last few months at IB all detrimental to their customers' profit margins. For example this whole business with bundled commissions not including ALL fees as they did for years beforehand. There is no way anyone should be using...

Exchange/ECN fees added into IB bundled commission?

its on the daily statement. Low and behold tho I have another answer out of IB tho. It seems there are mysterious Specialist fees for stocks under $2.50 if you remove book liquidity. However their commission schedule says "N/A" in this regard.

yes AMEX, was a SMART order but with pre open reroute enabled.

Exchange/ECN fees added into IB bundled commission?

This has greatly affected me too. On the one hand you can understand IB would be charged all these fees and bear the brunt of a system where exchanges/ecns charge by the share. They are going to IPO soon and so they must be absolutely "ship-shape" and not carry these indeterminable costs...

Regular hours limit orders on IB that will participate in the opening cross

fbell50 From your research into OUCH I think I am going to carry on using my OPG orders until I see an example of a definte opening cross trade marked ISLAND, which will show me something has changed. (They have ALWAYS been marked SUPERSOES on the hundreds of trades I have done on the opening...

Regular hours limit orders on IB that will participate in the opening cross

As a prologue, today using my trusty old SMART OPG orders I got spot-on opening fills in 4 different stocks (in Executions screen) on SUPERSOES between 093001 and 093013. This shows the system has NOT changed to labelling opening cross trades to ISLAND. They remain labelled as SUPERSOES...

Regular hours limit orders on IB that will participate in the opening cross

No it doesnt work. Case in point LOCM today. I had an order placed RTH only with preroute on placed well before 9am ET to sell @ 4.60 or better. Official open 4.70. I watched as that trade took place at 093001 and/or 02 (size 8000 & 8000) . Nothing happened to my order. My order...

Regular hours limit orders on IB that will participate in the opening cross

fbell50 I tried a test this morning with around 10 different stocks and I can tell you categorically that this works for LISTED only. It does NOT work for NASDAQ stocks. You should get a SUPERSOES fill if on opening cross, not ISLAND. Also the lousy "opening" price I got on ISLAND differed...

Regular hours limit orders on IB that will participate in the opening cross

    1. On TWS open a SUPERSOES chart and do T&S, and also open a SMART chart and do T&S. Very often it is obvious in the volume traded. A bit messy this one, easier to do the following: 2. Something I cannot understand, but appears to be a fact is that the official open (i.e. the opening cross)...

Regular hours limit orders on IB that will participate in the opening cross

Hi, Have you actually had a confirmed opening cross trade this way yet? Also, the commentary has confused me a little. Just to clarify this is: 1. for nasdaq stock limit orders, submitted prior to 9.28am ET, marked RTH only via SMART and the "pre open re route" turned on in TWS. 2...
