There is no secret trend indicator. It doesn't matter if you use higher highs, lower lows, m.av crosses or what ever. As long as it is consistent. There is no secret level at where a trend 'changes'. I like trends to be easy to start and harder to stop.

I strongly suggest that you refrain from rushing in to gain 'on the job' experience before you are mentally ready, like what I suggested above will create. Rushing in would have the negative effects of learning bad habits and attitudes. Once learn't these can be VERY DIFFICULT to overcome.
