I can see what lobster is saying .......i like good prints too but what happens when every limit is never touched and the orders keep getting filled "penny above" or "penny below" your buy or sell orders respectivly. Dont be fooled and think the specialist is going to be nice and hand you stock...

I would agree, we all hate getting pennied to death. On the other hand this sound similar to something I remember seeing called teenies way back when (2 yrs ago). This bs penny system was created by the specialists and market makers because they had no way to steal orders with the old system...

Don't use them in the nyse. It just gives the specialist the right to take your money. use the nx.

If you want to rely on the nx when you are trading a stock that has abnormal voulme for the day good luck. The rules are different for a stock trading like that. If the stock is going to gap....guess what.....there are 300 nx's comming in at once. Therefore it might not be disabled rather...
