from what I remember, tax statements can only be printed out in the acct mgt screen. There are NO yearly tax statements mailed to you. So if you got hit by a milk truck.. There IS a good chance that the account will be unclaimed.

This is certainly entertaining. Without being a conspiracy theorist.. What does IB and other brokers do with unclaimed accounts ? I can see how it would be to their advantage to not have monthly paper statements.
