A transaction tax will never make it through the US senate, even if the administration wanted one and after November the democrats will more than likely loose more senate seats so I do not see this happening in the US. Just my 2 cents

Wow lighten up boys and girls clearly my attempt at humor early in the morning was not very effective. Of course the right approach is to diplomatically explain to them why they are wrong.

Though I tend to take a non confrontational approach when attempting to explain why the FTT is a terrible idea, I think I may have to rethink my approach after reading this response. I love this response I could not stop laughing after I read it
