Why do you think most options expire worthless ?
Just write them ridiculous overpriced when the VIX is at extremes and this fear or greed will catch a few emotional traders as bait.

Never read the book but the real money in options is made writing them not buying them.
Buy them when you must hedge, rest of the time, write.

Futures go up, someone knows something.
Futures go down, someone knows something.
Don't rationalize it, trading instruments, for the most part go up and down, even as they trend up or down.

I would trade any size as long as I'm properly capitalized and the instrument offers the liquidity for such size. Size is not the issue here, risk management is.

Price likes to mark it's territory, just like a dog taking a "piss" in different areas.
When price is marking its territory it places an S for Support and an R for resistance depending if the mark was situated on the south or the north, then it just goes on and plays between the two...
Your stop should be well guarded, if you trail it aggressively it wont be, the stop should be used to protect capital, not profits, profits you ultimately take yourself, consciously.
The tight trailing of your stop will ultimately cut in the way of your profits as price likes to test on numerous opportunities support and resistance.
Being stopped out while getting the correct direction is a cardinal sin in trading.
