does anyone know how to import company news fields into excel? i'm looking to import the top five most recent news events via DDE (or any other method, really)

From what I gather, it is a problem with 32-bit rundll files (such as chromes internal flash plugin) in a 64-bit system folder. Printers, various browser upgrades, etc. could make use of these rundll libraries. Killing those processes should fix the issue.

here is the solution for anyone looking: from the command line in Windows, type in: taskkill /f /im rundll32.exe the rundll32.exe*32 process from Chrome is what is interfering with the links. hope this helps

New development: excel with DDE works in safe mode. Does that mean anything to anyone?

sounds like 123/ross hook. Pretty sure you can buy an off-the-shelf coded system for it for any broker, its that prevalent

yeah, it happens to be any dde server i connect to. did a clean uninstall/install of office, so my guess the problem is with win7. back to the drawing board i suppose. thanks for your help
