Can you recommend a course on trading psychology?

Tharp, Douglas, Steenbarger all helped me.

What do you think off Investor's Business Daily ETF strategy?

I've traded leveraged index ETFs off and on for 10-15 years. I was interested in IBD's method when it first came out, but found it lagged my own signals by 1-4 days. I'm nevertheless interested when IBD says "Confirmed uptrend" because it means I better be all in by then. If the uptrend fails...

I can't execute Stop Order on Schwab with certain stocks.

Exactly. But, why is the same order entered on a Tuesday night using Tuesday's close, not Wednesday's open?

    Pivot Point

Watch what happens at pivot points/S&R. Many reversals occur at pivots. An open that pierces a pivot may confirm that pivot as support. I never traded based on pivot points, but considered them a confirmation of what else was going on, i.e. I considered a reversal off a pivot to be more...

I can't execute Stop Order on Schwab with certain stocks.

If a stock closes on Friday @ 100 and you set a 5% trailing stop on Sunday, what's the stop price on Monday? I say it's 95. Schwab says it's 5% under whatever the stock opens at on Monday.

Do you see more short term cap gains tax coming?

Well flabbergast away. The only cap gains tax increase I've heard about is long term for people making > $1M/yr. Biden wants an increase from ~24% to ~44%. BUT he has to get a dem senate to pass it.

    Bearish Engulfing and inverted hammer

Your approach is very frustrating isn't it? That's what happens when you rely too much on a candlestick telling you what to do. Candlestick patterns need to be analyzed in context. If you're determined to follow candlestick signals, then I'd study at least 3 candlestick books. I know this...

Holding for stock Dividends is a near total waste of space

T ........... Avg annual return over last 10 years or so = 10% + 6% div I'm retired. For the most part, I don't much give a damn what the market or individual stocks do, as long as my income exceeds my outgo. You do reach a point where any more time spent trying to make $$ is...

will Kamala Harris kill the market ?

If the WH and Senate go blue, the capital gains tax on people making > $1M will almost double. What will those people do in Nov/Dec with their profitable holdings? Look for a selloff.

Nasdaq looking toppy ? Reversing to the down ?

Look at the (D) Nas chart since March. It's been rebounding off the 20dma, about 8x. We should know in 2-3 days if it does it again. If not......

Fertilizer stocks making a come back ?

You betcha, Saskatch Potash, made a bundle on it. When I sold, I got a kick out of telling my mother-in-law "I sold some POT today." I went to my local Co-op to buy some 46-0-0 and was shocked to find the price doubled. When I mentioned it, I immediately backpedaled and said, "that's OK, I got...

Fertilizer stocks making a come back ?

Ah yes, 2007, the glory days of fertilizer, I remember fondly.

If You Trade Using Moving Averages, How?

Yeah. I slap BB on my Heikin-Ashi candlesticks and trade the reversals off the bottom band and the midpt (20dma). And doing this on a weekly chart blasts the faster/shorter charts. I sometimes trade the daily or intraday charts as well if I'm bored, but nothing beats longer term performance...

    Indices to watch?

I'm going to weigh in here and it's not my intent to be unkindly. There's a really good reason you haven't gotten any responses; nobody knows where to begin. Learn one market really well by watching it everyday. Choose something with huge volume and volatility, maybe QQQ. Watch different...
