Overnight - why would anyone trade 10 micros instead of one ES... And yes, swing trading is not 2-5 hour trades. That is day trading. Swing trading is buying and holding for 20-30 points which lasts more than one trading day 90% of the time.
I think it goes without saying that the Micros are meant for scalability and position/swing trading. Anyone trying to day trade these things are wasting their time.
Like I said, already called about the Ironbeam ones. I don't really care about Farr since they're an IB now and not entirely the same company as Ironbeam. When FCM's fuck up, they get an NFA ban, like Vision, Refco, MF. If Farr did something as bad as them, they wouldn't be allowed back.
Actually not true. When a customer reports a firm to NFA/CFTC, it goes on the firms record regardless of the results. If you look up the 3 case codes for Ironbeam, each case didn't even go to arbitration, there were no findings.
By "solid" I mean I've had a great experience with them. They are a non-clearing FCM, they actually clear through Wedbush. The don't have a huge customer segregated account because they focus on high-end retail business. They know how to cater to retail traders very well. And you're doing your...
It makes sense though. Because they are such a large firm, sending data to so many users is difficult, and to send it as unfiltered tick data would likely be extremely expensive.
