Indeed. From my view, it is pure luck, but there are some rules he was following which make it some controlled luck. From what I heard, he invested most of the total amount to some property type investments. Less than 500K is held at the brokerage.

I totally agree with my own software problems part. It is always more flexible and easy to modify. However, it takes some time and effort. I will do so I suppose.
