What are the drivers of oil price?

Yes, gasoline per gallon is more expensive abroad, such as Europe, but that fact alone is misleading. This is because consumption is also significantly lower than in the United States, due to smaller roads and smaller and more fuel efficient cars, and shorter distances of travel. Visit London...

http://www.marketwatch.com/story/natural-gas-prices-suffer-from-weather-worries-2013-11-05 In this article it says that Gasoline stockpiles are expected to fall by 1 million barrels but oil stocks are expected to rise by 2.5 million barrels Does that mean that more people are consuming gas...

What are the drivers of oil price?

Over a long period of time, demand. That's why oil prices downright collapsed after breaking $150/barrel. Over the short term, your guess is as good as mine, although the weekly reports on oil consumption/stockpiles is definitely a factor.

When People Ask "What do you do for a living" What say you?

I tell them I manage a small apartment for my family, which is technically the truth. It usually gives off the image that I am taken cared of but not living lavishly. While I agree with other posters here that sometimes it's good to get perspective from people that don't trade, you absolutely...

    3 years and

You should quit doing what you've been doing. But if the passion for trading is still there and you won't feel passionate about the alternative then No, never quit. Take a little break to research, talk with other traders, then get back in and try something new.

Can you get a mortgage if you are a trader?

There are some overly complex replies here on how they assess the stability of being a professional trader. Just give them a copy of your tax returns. The person processing your mortgage application will probably just say, "Cool." Keep in mind that at big banks there is a systematic process...

Trading with a Stop Loss in the Futures Market is for Losers

Having had a bad experience with a stop order loss myself, I agree with you that it can contribute to losing money if the order is too tight. Nearly all of my profitable trades, have at some point, been unprofitable, and had an air tight stop order loss been there to take me out, I wouldn't...
