Allen, I personally hope you will continue your journal. I find it interesting the only thread on the entire ET board Fluid has decided to post on is this one...clearly somebody with a hidden agenda and my guess is a rival chat room service. I imagine if 3i or Chris posted their journals...

From IB Bulletin: ISLAND Traders: At 12:09:27 EST the ISLAND ECN experienced a core system failure. Island is working to resolve the issue.

Doing 5 - 10 trades per day via IB and always using hard stops I can't remember ever having a problem with them not been sent to market when I expected them to. The double tick rule has also helped me out on occasion.

Personally I would rather see you continue Alphie but all this unnecessary greif your getting now you should probably walk away and focus on your trading.

Sounds good Alphie. Just make sure that borrowing money from your father that you may not be able to return won't wreck your relationship with him, money can do that, I've been there.

No complaints from me about IB lately. Been disconnected a couple of times for less than a minute each time but that could be ISP related. Executions have been fast using the SMART routing.

Quah, thanks for your time and effort on creating and posting to this thread and maintaining the workbook etc. Its been very informative and interesting and shows that thinking outside the box can be rewarding and feasible.
