Yeah, since the original post, I've decided it's not for me. I do, however, think it's not a bad platform for stocks or options. But for FX - just not ticking the boxes for me.

I just opened an account - mixed opinions at the moment. Interested to hear from other FX traders using the TWS platform. What do you like / dislike about it?

I'd say; Corrupt brokers – find one that's thoroughly regulated. Heavily manipulated. You not only have to learn how to trade, but how to identify when the big boys are moving it. No accurate representation of volume. Everyone knows the set ups. Gone are the days of the turtle traders. Back...

Technically you are correct. The conventional trading systems or 'textbook setups" if you will, barely work now days. When it breaks out and pulls back to support, everyone knows that everyone can see that level. Back in the day of turtle traders, if something broke out it just kept going (more...

Buy high?? You're better off waiting for a pullback and buying the dip. If you buy high and it retraces you get stopped out. Why take that risk? Trading's all about probability after all..

A bit late to the party but my career was in marketing and business development.. nothing relating to the financial industry or tech - go figure!

For stocks - long-term investing. For forex - short-term. (I don't know about you, but I prefer to get my profits and get out before the classic FX choppiness kicks in!). IMO
