MCsux, if you try the last beta (4.0), MultiCharts has improved a lot, in my opinion is now one of the best trading platform available

I would suggest Multicharts: http://www.tssupport.com/multicharts/ the last version (4.0) has wonderful charting capability and a good trading engine

With Multicharts you can download also historical data, for dailiy quote you can also use Free Data feed and OpenTick
