1 point spread off of every ZN (Ten Year Note) Trade?

It's only appropriate for fully automated trading where your system can keep immediate track of whether the limit order at the exit was filled.

1 point spread off of every ZN (Ten Year Note) Trade?

I think I came up with a solution: Trade every trade with a limit order. If it doesn’t get filled, put a stop loss at the entrance price as a market order; that should obviate the high frequence issue.

1 point spread off of every ZN (Ten Year Note) Trade?

I just started trading ZN today (Ten Year Note). I have been a currency trader for years. The technique is scalping and moderately high frequency (a trade every 3-5 minutes), therefore I cannot place a limit order. As a test, my system placed 6 trades today, and the P&L of each trade was...

NO IB Data Sunday the 27th??

Message from IB: "IDEAL and IDEALPRO are currently unavailable for trading." At least they know about it.

NO IB Data Sunday the 27th??

The worst part is if you go to IB's website, and click System Status, it ALWAYS says "no problems reported at this time." Yeah, right.

NO IB Data Sunday the 27th??

For background, I'm coming from the world of Forex, and my experience has consistently been I get filled with little or no slippage. Frequently, I am filled with no spread from the bid-ask midpoint price. I use an automated system so there's never any "point and click" delay. I only use...

Will I always pay 1 point on the bid ask spread in crude oil futures?

I plan to start trading crude oil futures, but my technique is fairly high frequency (about a trade every 2 minutes). Is it a given I will always pay 1 point on the bid ask spread, or can I expect to be filled better than that, at least sometimes?

Email from Interactive Brokers indicates I can't trade FOREX with them any longer

Yes, that appears to be the issue for me, too. Overall I really like IB, but they can be annoyingly opaque at times. Why not just say, "You need to update your account information."?

Email from Interactive Brokers indicates I can't trade FOREX with them any longer

I called Interactive Brokers, and the customer service rep said they just received the bulletin this morning and they knew nothing (!!!), and he would call me back when he knew more. I then called the NFA in Chicago and they said there were no new rules or regulations regarding FOREX.

Email from Interactive Brokers indicates I can't trade FOREX with them any longer

I'm not sure I can trade FOREX with them any longer: LEVERAGED FOREX TRANSACTIONS As a result of new NFA regulations, spot forex transactions conducted through IB's IdealPro venue will now be classified as either leveraged or non-leveraged with eligibility requirements applied to accounts...
