Can somebody at IB explain why customers need a $40K yearly income before they can trade CFDs ? None of your competitors that I know of makes the same demand. With just a few hundred dollars you can trade this instrument. Why not make requirements regarding position and account size only ?

IB used to transfer amounts from commodities to securities very quickly after you had closed futures positions. Since a few days this is no longer happening. As the commodities part of your account isn't insured by SIPC, has the risk for traders increased in an IB account ?

I have no High, Low and Volume data for FESX and FDAX March futures. This is the 4th day this is occurring in a few weeks. Can IB inform customers about the progress it's making to solve this issue ?

Neither am I, I'm just asking questions. I don't think the markt is just being silly. My guess is, those investors who were selling in those 30 minutes knew exactly what they were doing. I'd like to know why.

So if you see a stock falling by 30% you would say that fact in itself would have no informational value whatsoever ?

Why does the stock price of a company that is rock solid lose almost a third of its value in less than an hour ? Why would this company send a mail like it did to its customers without mentioning the reasons for their stock price dropping as it did ?

Always repeat this question, every day, aloud: what does the market want ? Ask yourself whether you heard yourself asking it. Then answer the question. Forget about what you want. Learn to see what the market wants. And go with it.
