Seaside,
Consider using CT Pro or SS Pro (w/hot keys) for the quickest executions possible. Since we're splitting hairs regarding order routing, market makers and web-based browser delays, I would again advise you to use those platforms and execution types for split-second executions.
I...
I'm not sure why you feel I'm 'glossing' anything over--I'm not the boogeyman, I'm actually trying to help.
You can withdraw cash if you like, but again, if you hold money market funds, they are NOT considered cash positions, but rather securities.
The integration is going smoothly...
Seaside,
Regarding your SIPC question, the max protection is $100k per client, not account. FYI, Schwab provides additional protection through Lloyds. IF the account has 'cash' invested in money market funds, this would technically be classified as securities, not cash. SIPC protects up to...
Seaside,
Of course I'm here to address concerns, I just don't seem to answer them as quickly as you like. In an effort to get your questions answered quicker, you may be better served actually talking to a live rep. If you prefer that I address your 3 issues before you move on with more...
Seaside,
If you have a list of deficiencies that I haven't begun to research, I would suggest you call our brokers and them address your list of items.
I can tell you that baskets and API trading will not make the conversion, but if you want specifics, I would recommend dealing with our...
It may seem that these are straightforward fixes, but as I previously stated, SCHW has different backend systems that we did not design and with those come some time needed to learn what the issues are in order to resolve them.
To use your words about the integration, seasides, âas it...
Thanks for your patience regarding the order routing questions posed--
A) You are correct regarding direct access shorting. Currently, you are unable to short using Arca/Inet. There will be a gap pre- and post- market, but we are (obviously) aware of this issue and looking into solutions...
Jimcrist,
All indications point to CTPro fully integrating in early/mid December. I would consider that date set in stone.
On a side note, any CT Pro layout currently in use will be compatible with SS Pro when the rollover occurs.
Seaside,
Good questions--I'm working on them and...
You will be able to trade pre- and post- market using direct access Inet/Arca orders. These orders can be placed from 8a to 8p with no gaps.
The only time gaps come into play is when using the Smart Ex order type. There is a 15 minute gap before and after the market when using this specific...
AAA,
I apologize for any delay in my posting information. Integration is a huge undertaking and I post any information I receive as soon as I get it.
Musicman,
I'm not sure why you feel that Cyber's rates have increased since Schwab 'took over', but there have remained flat...
Seaside,
Unless I'm mistaken, your two questions were related to MM rates, which I addressed (good news), and order routing.
I'm looking into the order routing issue and will post information as I receive it--hopefully in the next couple of days.
Thanks,
I'd like to address the money market issue:
For clients transitioning from Cyber to Schwab, they will have their MMF swept to a similar Sch fund.
For those traders worried about 1% vs 4.5% yields, I hope this addresses those concerns.
Thanks,
I want to clear up any misconceptions regarding our per share pricing offer:
CyberTraderâs per share pricing WILL BE transferable for any CyberTrader client at the currently published rate. Schwab will âgrandfatherâ the rates.
Our objective is to make the client experience...
We do monitor the forum, but I don't have any specifics as to how order routing, etc... will be handled.
My intention was to post when I have facts and not speculation based on what should/should not be included in the platform.
Again, as I get your answers and specifics as to what will be...
