    unbelievable results

I think one of the previous posters had it right. $30,000-50,000 is needed to trade M2. Your initial success is very dependent on if you have a big loser in your first month. The losers both cost money and margin as they may be sitting in your account for months(possibly years). Also...

    unbelievable results

Yes, the TCI M2 results posted are correct and real (I know for a fact) HOWEVER.... M2 does NOT use stops and has not exited a losing trade this year. If you read the fine print, TCI only recognizes a loss on closeout and does NOT include rolling positions as a closeout. Therefore...

The Evolution of an E-mini Trader

I agree that losing trades do not mean you had a poor entry. Also, A winning trade dousnt mean a good entry. Many times over the years I have made profits on stupid trades. Whenever you make a profit on a stupid trade, it reinforces a bad habit and you get hit several times before you...

The Evolution of an E-mini Trader

are those results (19 for 19 years) with or without palladium? I remember in 2000/2001 when palladium alone would move up or down $5,000 or more per day and the margin was around $100,000. I guess thats why he switched out of it

The Evolution of an E-mini Trader

Aberation is a good system and Keith has always struck me as an honest vendor. However, I dont think it is prudent to trade the portfolio listed with anything close to 10K.

The Evolution of an E-mini Trader

breakout systems work well on several markets especially bonds, S&P and to a lesser extent in the currencies. I prefer trend type models such as buying 10-55 day highs. Buying a 10 day high and selling a 10 day low works remarably well in most markets although you need deep pockets.

The Evolution of an E-mini Trader

futures truth is a very good resource, but I wouldnt depend on them exclusively. Many of the systems are sold by parties related to John Hill and some systems have been coded incorrectly. caution as always is adviseable. Maybe it would be great if we all listed the systems we have traded...

    The E-mini Adventures of Brutus

hello hardcash Quote "in general i agree with this...but i believe that the markets are "fractal", means that several tradable pattern that occur in market motion occur and are tradable in every timeframe...if you trade, lets say bull- and bearflags on 1min, its the same as to trade them...

The Evolution of an E-mini Trader

I seem to be getting a reaction here. I was specifically asked what works and I said I wont post specific systems publicly. I will also say that I have alot more that I think are bad. I am very new to this and I am very curious as to why I have to spend most of my time defending myself...

    The E-mini Adventures of Brutus

"cta trader, ok, i see. but i am posting comments on someone who is trying to trade 1 contract NQ with a risk of 4-5 pionts (this may appear plain stupid in your eyes ?)...so he has to learn how to trade in a 1-3min timeframe in relation to 5min + 15min...every timeframe higher than this is...

    The E-mini Adventures of Brutus

"me too, but could you please tell me how to do this ?? or do you mean to put stops above what appears to be the high or below what appears to be the low of the day..." I mean to say, using the current days high or low at the time placing the stop. I think you can go between .25 and 1.5...

    Innovative future broker business model

"Above this 20 contracts you just pay 1$ CME fees + 0.75$ clearing which makes all the contracts above 20 at 1.75$ R/T!!" CME fees(including exchange clearing and NFA) are 2.32$/RT. How can they only charge 1$? Maybe that is a half turn charge.

    portfolio of systems testing

Many traders dont realize that when you trade multiple systems together, your profits will be the same as if you traded them seperately and added the individual system results together. For example, if you have 20 systems and you wonder how you would have done trading them all together in an...

The Evolution of an E-mini Trader

I guess we all have something to sell, even if its ourselves. I have been a pro trader, CTA and bank prop trader for many years. My hope is to throw my 2 cents in just in case it helps. I have alot of commercial interests in alot of areas of futures trading, but I am not trying to sell...

    TED spread

The TED is still traded by pro's in the cash market. Some traders trade the TED exclusively. The TED spread simply measures the risk between US treasuries and US dollar deposits between banks. I think the TED has some interesting possibilities as a hedge against disaster in the financial...
