URGENT, Secure Device Required for TWS

I have to say that I find this whole security card business very bizarre. I have many accounts with banks, securities firms, insurance, retirement accounts, etc, etc. They have all beefed up security lately in various ways (for instance presenting a graphic image that I have to identify at...

URGENT, Secure Device Required for TWS

Well, yes it's my computer (in my office) and I do see the logon screen. So I'll be able to use the local device to enter the code into the remote computer?

URGENT, Secure Device Required for TWS

Do you have to physically press buttons on the device to log on? if so, this sucks, because I run TWS from a remote computer. Maybe MB trading will be an alterative?

    bid-ask spreads on options

Hey, I'm really appreciating your advice! Really! So I went to the CBOE site and listened to the webcast from Dan Sheridan. He likes the "double-diamond." That seems like an interesting strategy -- makes money if the underylings don't change very much. For that reason, I'd prefer SPY over...

    bid-ask spreads on options

    bid-ask spreads on options

I thought that SPY would be a pretty liquid underlying. Are there stocks whose options are even more liquid than SPY? Also, is the theoretical price of the spread calculated simply as the sum of the current bids for the long legs minus the sum of the current asks for the short legs?

    bid-ask spreads on options

I'm a futures trader, but am getting interested in trading option spreads. But the bid-ask differentials are huge! For instance, up to 20 percent of the cost of the combo spread price. How do you guys deal with that? Are there some tricks to learn? Thanks

    Jtrader API : new OCX...

Well, I really wanted to connect to the PATS API from vb.net. So I tried with the patswrapper VB wrapper. www.patswrapper.com. But there does not seem to be any support at the patswrapper site. I cannot log into my test account at Patsystems, and neither their support nor I can...

    Patsystems & J Trader

Does the CQG API really provide a viable alternative to PATS? It seems like it has some of the same brokers (the low day margin ones) onboard -- including Global -- anyone using their API to trade with these brokers?
