I am what I consider a trading novice. However as anyone else I have studied and studied the systems and the trends before I put my money where my mouth was.
In October 2004 I put in $2000. As of today that $2000 is now $8900 and change. Never played the market but have the following...
Sounds like a great way to trade. Wish I would have hung onto my Google stock when I purchased 50 shares at IPO. Made my $10 and knew that it would go higher, but didn't have the guts to hold on to it and ride it out.
So just excellent suggestion to simply try and pick those that have...
If you are scanning several markets and running the data over all of the items in those markets you are going to need something other than the run of the mill computers that you will find in your local computer store.
Start out by taking a look at http://www.customtradingcomputers.com to find...
I played around with Yhoo and Ebay made a little and lost a little. In the end I broke even. With no true upside these are day trading swingers at best.
Too much competition on the market for both now.
Somehow I think the pump and dump may be illegal in some courts or at least unethical at best.
How do guys who pump up the stocks and then dump them actually live with them selves.
As a complete beginner I have no idea what I really need in a system.

My personal suspicion is that...
Just so you know. I am a complete newbie to trading. I have dabbled here and there over time. mainly playing the safe stocks. I'll buy coke and hold for two to three years.
I'll then purchase Microsoft (risky in my mind as it is tech.) yea laugh if you will, I own a lot of Procter and...
I learned a whole new trading theory simply by reading this thread.
I would love to Beta test this software without the ATS. Simply as a learning tool this software if free could teach me so much.
Just by playing with previous days it would be amazing.
That is a great suggestion. Never really thought of breaking it down this far. The ability to trade at this rate allows for me to put in stop losses that are doable and not break the proverbial bank on any of my trades.
How big of lots would you recommend trading with. I currently have approx. 10k in my ameritrade account that I trade. I have oscillated between $1k purchases and $5k purchases.
For the $1k I have to make a good like to pay for the trading cost. For the $5k I get really really nervous as...
